I made this Lego years ago and have changed LEDs a few times.
This is my favourite so far.
Leads kept long on PCB side for ease of LED swaps/centring.
2.7A programmable driver running on 16650 with a modified McClicky in the tail.
Best and cleanest hot spot I've seen from this TIR with a snowy white tint with stacks of throw.

Looks real good.
I'm curious.... Do you use the clip?
Yes and no. I'm not a huge fan of bezel up.
As you can see, the light is still pristine as it hasn't seen much use and has been looked after when it has.
It's had four different LEDs in it now since the original mod when a swapped the driver.
This one was a gem to mod since it came apart pretty easily and I didn't get a single mark on it (still needs to be heated up a lot). The EDC I just did was a pain even with some serious heating, clamping and cursing.
I might post a pic of the original PCB/LED that came out of the EDC for interest sake (I've been asked questions about it so it may be of interest to some).
I'm really happy with this light and it'll be getting carried a lot more (likely in pocket lens down).

Went to the beach this evening with the two Osram E's and was able to get a decent look at their beams where they could stretch their legs a bit. It was a bit windy and heaps of salt spray in the air.
Only took a few quick pics on the phone, nothing particularly good but something to show.
I'm really liking them both and they're both really impressive for their size.

Hot spot size comparison. EDCL1-T left, EB1 right.

I'm currently running three of these mods. All with the Osram pictured.
E1B with 2.2A driver (incorrectly stated as 2.7A above) on E2 body with 16650.
E1D with stock driver on 16340.
EDCL1T with stock driver on 16340.
I've mainly been using the small lights and I'm really impressed with them.
I don't have any output figures but they're a huge step up from stock.

Did some quick and basic tests (light meter app on a tablet) to measure the throw of the three Osram mods.

E1D (stock driver)- 35K cd.

EB1 (2.2A driver)- 37K cd.

EDCL1T (stock driver)- 44K cd.

I think these figures are reasonably accurate.

For reference I got 23K cd out of the Dark Sucks Alpha (Icarus) with triple Osram.

Edit:

After some thought, I'm not particularly certain about the measurements. Not surprisingly when using a free app on a cheap tablet.
It's hard to say but the results may well be more ambitious than in reality.
Whatever the case, I'm really happy with the performance of these lights in use.

That's good for such a small light
