Hi all new poster.
I already reached out to surefire and was told they cant help me. I have a OG surefire x200. The original/special run of the lights had a beam output pattern that was a diamond shape vs the traditional circle pattern. I am looking to replicate this beam pattern for a project. Does anyone know of a person or company that they could point me to to complete this project?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome!

TIR (total internal reflection) optics might be what you're looking for. Carclo makes some that output an elliptical beam rather than the usual circular beam.

Here is a listing of 20mm optics and they're cheap enough to buy several and test. The same site also has a selection of larger 26.5mm optics too.

Is it the ooooold x200 that had the tiros type optic with the domed outer lens? I have an old kl1 head that has that optic, and it's basically a TIR optic with an aspheric plopped on top it.

Carlcos 20mm tir's seem to get a similar-ish pattern, with the projected die image of the emitter, but not as sharply defined as the optic in my kl1.

Wanted to add- if the x200 does indeed have (or had, if you're asking for a similar beam pattern perhaps the original is lost or damaged) the domed outer lens and aspheric-looking domed internal optic, another light that used the same type (but not size, I don't think, the surefire optic is iirc shorter) of optic was the old school 2010's era INOVA lights, with their marketing term being the "TIROS" optic if I'm recalling correctly.
