I've been looking for a good source of low profile "Push-on - push-off" pushbutton switches for my projects. Can have leads or tabs....

I've checked Radio Shack and Digikey and have come up dry.
My previous batch of switches have come from Dollar Store flashlights I have scrapped for parts.

Any Ideas Guys?

Mouser.com had a few mico switches, but nothing perfect... I'll keep looking at the dollar store... if it doesn't pan out there, I'll see what the minimum order at mouser is.

I'm not sure the 514 and 515 are alternate action (they may be momentary). Try the 518 and 519 for alternate action.

A check of the judco website http://www.judcomfg.com doesn't help to clear things up...

charliek,

One of JUDCO's push on/push off switches is sold as a replacement switch by Perko for their marine interior dome lights. It has a nice rubber boot. It has wire leads instead of solder terminals though. These can be found through marine supply and chandlerys.

I haven't found any at Lowes, but in my mental archives I remember seeing a 2 way or 3 way switch either twist or maybe pushbutton. They're used for fan speed selection. Not the smallest switch but the 2 or 3 way function might be worth it...
