I went ahead and moved the link to a more appropriate thread that discusses lasers as weapons. I didn't really think any laser is a "flashlight". To me all lasers are used to point at something either to designate an object, to learn something from that object or to heat the object. If a laser is a flashlight, then maybe a microwave is one also.
