Hey guys,

So, the other night I was doing some SAR training, and when I showed up, there was fella, who we'll call Jim, and he had a LX2. I was AMAZED!

When he showed me the light, I started looking over the thing, and everything was perfect, I was stunned at the fit and finnish of it. The bezel, glass, everything was just awesome looking.

that night we tried some testing with it as he had just picked it up at the post office the evening before he came out, it blew my TK10 out of the water. I was just awe struck at how much throw it had. The low setting was also very bright, and had as much throw or more than any of the cheaper 40 lumen lights I own. But what got me was the interface. Very simple to use, and is works flawlessly.

So, in other words, the mintue I have the money, Im picking one up.

Smaller package
Brighter,
And somewhat more expensive. :naughty:

I have some cell phone picks of the beams, but they are bad. if you guys really want to see them, I can put them up.

I was already so close to buying one... oops, :paypal:

Yes, please post the beamshots. Something is better than nothing.

It is my favorite flashlight to date. Not just because it is new in my arsenal of flashlights, but because it is as what you described. Awesome power in a compact package. I love the beautiful finish also even though I may prefer full knurling on the body.

LX2 is currently my EDC until maybe when the LX1 is out. Then I would probably carry the LX2 on days when I know I needed longer run time and power, and LX1 just for EDC purposes. Save up for it, you would not regret buying the LX2.

Now, these are horrible pictures, and when I get a chance I will take some better ones next time I see "jim".

But, it does show the beam difference. The TK10 Is still a very bright light, but the LX2 is brighter.:D

It almost doesn't even look like they are close to being comparable. But, the tk10 did have more flood, just the spot on the LX2 was astounding. The TK10 did have new batts, and this was taken in PITCH black, like not even you hand in front of your face. Dense brush that the lights were aimed at were about 30 feet away.

The TK10s beam is a beautiful one though. I really noted it one night when we were simulating an active shooter at the high school.

Very generous throw that could light up the end of hall ways but with more than enough spill to light up wall to wall in rooms.

The TIR took some getting used to before it's beam became effective, personally, in close to medium quarters.

However, in SAR I think that BRIGHT TIR would fit you just well :)

A good throwy light with enough side spill if you got a little cramped.

Thats what I have been thinking aswell.

I have to say though, the TK10 has done me good. Just tonight actually I was dropping off some coffe to my ladie at work, while we were talking a couple of teens came running through the parking lot with someone in a little tikes plastic car of sometype.

This was bad as its a nursing home, and is private propority. They came close to us and I lit them up with the TK10, one yell's poop! and they all took off, it was certainly nice to have that, they not only would have come right down to where we were, but I then would have had to deal with 3, drunk as far as I can tell teen boys, which was not on my list of things to do.:shakehead

I would rather deal with a group of crack heads than a few teens in todays time.

This is coming from one
