And I was very impressed at this lil jewel! It seems like Coast doesn't have a very good rep here, but after getting my #7468 Revolution headlight, I'm happy with it. I have bought 1 other headlight in the past, an incan/led Streamlight and I wasn't pleased with the output. I was looking for something with more throw and I definately found one with more. Nice quality as far as I'm concerned. Even comes with a neoprene case that has an integrated belt loop! The only drawback I see as of now is that there are only 3 tilt position adjustment "clicks" for the LED assembly. It would have been better to have more adjustbility. Overall nice light in my opinion.

Coast / LED Lenser get a bad reputation due to their cheaper offerings being very poor. If you pay good money for a Lenser, you get an excellent torch, such as your Revolution, the David 15 and the Police Tech Focus.

do tell more. do you think this thing is dissasembleable?
within the dreaded Clicks (i hate that) will it adjust to any position between the clicks and still stay partly off from the clicks?
what is its total actual weight? minus the belt clip, the head weight.
does it have a top strap or only a headband strap?
the front case looks rather small and compacted (compared to others) how many inches from your forehead does it stick out total?
is the battery pack just a BIT bigger than the batteries that it contains, or does it have a lot more space wasted, or for the dimmer stuff?
the dimmer looks like it might include a simple wire wound resister type dimmer, do you know if it uses or displays PWM (pulse width modulation) for its dimming?

i can answer some...
do you think this thing is dissasembleable? it can be dis-assemble from the battery cassing to bulb holder/casing
within the dreaded Clicks (i hate that) will it adjust to any position between the clicks and still stay partly off from the clicks? i cant understand but i can give idea.... the click is in the upperside of the bulb so it means its attach to itself (casing of the bulb)... you can move it up to 85degree if im not mistaken.
does it have a top strap or only a headband strap? only headband
is the battery pack just a BIT bigger than the batteries that it contains, or does it have a lot more space wasted, or for the dimmer stuff? not really that big...its almost the battery fit, the dimmer is attached to the battery casing

thats all, hopefully it can help

thanks
on the clicks, some headlight have 3-4 click points on the TILTING, yet they can still maintain any position in between the click tilt points. so the light can be aimed any ammount even though it has click stops in certian places.
some headlights you Can NOT get it to stay anywhere BUT at the click points, which gives you only 3-4 positions, instead of any position in between.

I'm not sure why Coast/LedLenser has a bad name. I've had nothing but good luck with them. I have several models, all are satisfactory to me. The little three led, three aaa headlight was my first coast. Thing has lasted three years, and still runs fine. Dollar for dollar, most of the led lenser stuff is pretty good. Never let any forum attitudes cloud your judgment on buying a light. I also use a black diamond soliras, I not overly happy with the light output on that one. So, it's not the name brand, nor the hoopla that make for a good light. It's how the light actually performs for your needs. I work in dark clock towers. I use my lights daily. I've yet to have pomp, and hoopla light my way. Just my two cents.
