I bought a Surefire E2DL a while back. A great light, but I was unhappy with the tint. It was the greenest of the 6 Surefires I own. I contacted Surefire, and they instructed me to send it back, soI did. Less than 3 weeks later, they sent it back to me. WOW! What a difference! It's now just about the perfect tint, slightly warm. And not only that, it's now the brightest Surefire I own. When I first got it, it was noticably dimmer than my 6PL with Malkoff M60. Now it's slightly brighter.

I sure am glad I sent it back. I'm much happier with it now. Surefire did me right.

My E2DL is also very nice. Just a pure white tint that looks just a hair warmer when compared to my other LED lights. Now my KX2C head is much warmer than my E2DL and I used to have a difficult time deciding which I like best. So I sent the KX2C head to milky for a little TLC and now I love my Creemator.

It's always nice to hear a good Customer Service story.

I noticed this about my E1B. The tint is a perfect colour of white. Not sickly in any way. Best tint of all my lights I think...

I need that E2DL now...

oh wow.. glad to know surefire is good.

did they send u a brand new light in the blister card?

I returned my light in the original blister card. They probably just replaced the head because the serial number was the same. I wrote it down before I sent it back.

Do you have any way of knowing if they replaced the entire light, the pill or just the LED?

Not really. I guess I could have somehow marked the parts to see which ones came back, but I did't think of that then. I just assumed that they just put a new head on it, but if they can easily and quickly disassemble it, maybe they just relaced the pill/LED. I know the main part of the light (body and switch) are the same.
Sorry, I have no way to show pics.
