I got my Raw NS today and man is it awesome.

I was worried because I got the cool white tint and was wondering how it would be...

Turned it on and the tint is BEAUTIFUL!

I put is side by side with my P2d Q5(which is now my second favorite light, after my raw ns) and my P2D looks purple when compared to the NS.

I'm glad I got this tint becuase I don't care for a yellowish tint.

I like the fact that the NS is very easy to operate with one hand and I love the glow in the dark thingy on it.

This thing is going to be by my side for a very long time!

The 2 modes are perfect 20 lumens 10 hours or 200 for 25 minutes.

I do have one question...

Does anyone know of a holster that fits the Raw NS?

Well, 200 lumens to start maybe. Expect it to drop off during the run.

Still one of my favorite lights. Great tint, and overall quality. Smoothest twisty ever.

Great info but what do expect this is a WOW light and they just don't get any better. the 20 lumens setting is very useful and the 200 just blows people away.

:D I took it out and tried it tonight.

I went walking at night with my girlfriend and she carried a q5 p2d.

When compared to eachother they they were almost equal except the p2d was less ringy and had better spill and the raw ns rendered color better and was slightly brighter while the battery was full.

Throw was about equal with the p2d being slightly better.

The raw ns mantained brightness better than I expected.

One thing I didn't like was after tapping it on a window relatively hard, I was looking at it later and the metal rim of the lense was flat on one part rather than completely round.

I'm not sure if it was already there or the tapping on the window caused it.

Either way I expected it to be tougher because of the NS material.

And also if used on full battery, after about 6 minutes oh high it became too hot to hold in any position, as opposed to the p2d that was still holdable after 20 minutes on turbo(and probably longer I quit at 20 minutes).

But once I let it cool down(and some of the battery/power had drained from the first run of 6 minutes ) and turned it back on ,that no longer was a problem and it ran very warm-warm( but manageable to hold) until dying.

All things considered IMO the raw ns is the hands down winner for best EDC light(of the lights I have tried so far).

It has tremendous brightness, beautiful beam tint/fit and finish, is half the size of the p2d, easily operated with one hand and very fun to play with :D

I've recently aquired a Raw NS and I must say the output for its size is staggering. I too got the "cool" white R2 Cree which I was concerned about but actually has a very nice tint. I chose the 200/100 lumens option which is great as on 100 its still brighter than most AA lights and gives reasonable throw but you get a greatly improved run time and the heat isn't a problem. I know the 20 lumens would have been usefull but I thought for seeing your way at night 100 would be more practical. :D

Well I have been carrying my raw ns for a little while now and I must say...

God I love this light!

I wouldn't even dream of ordering a light from a different maker since finding the raw ns.

Since getting this light I had 1 regret though.

That I only get 1 gid locator instead of the 5.

Well now I know.

I am now ordering my third lummi light since I want more locators and to try out the neutral white led.

Thanks lummi.
