Canada, eh?
So I got my order from Lighthound and popped in my new bulbs in my A2 and E2E. I have multiple A2's so I took one stock and one with the new HO-A2 installed. I love it! Just a little boost in throw, tighter and whiter hotspot. If I shone directly at my feet in the snow it was a little too bright but at any other distance it was perfect. It doesn't change the nice flood/throw mix of the A2 too much, just a little bit hotter in the center. The stock MA02 actually looks slightly yellow when compared.

The HO-E2A on the other hand worked for 10 seconds at home when I put it in but when I got to the park and lit it up it was a sickly orange colour. I thought, great time for new batteries so I swapped in a new pair of Surefire's but had the same issue then suddenly it didn't turn on anymore. Checking out the bulb up close it's a cloudy blue/white/black inside. So a total of like 15-20 seconds of runtime on it.

I'm going to call Lighthound tomorrow about the HO-E2A.

Good to know. I just bought my 5th A2 yesterday (finally a YG one! :twothumbs) but I only have 4 Strion kits and 4 OS tailguards so I may have to finally check out the HO-A2.

And...looking for another OS tailguard...

Just an update: I received my replacement HO-E2A last week and so far it's working great. Lighthound even threw in another keychain light. The HO-E2A seems to have a slightly bigger hotter spot compared to the stock MN03.

Yes, the HO-E2A is a little brighter than the stock MN03. Perhaps at the sacrifice of some lamp life. But I love it, it's a great lamp. My favorite is the EO-E2R on a couple of IMR16340's for its combination of being rechargeable, much brighter than the stock setup, and having a decent runtime. I have not yet tried the IMR-E2R, but I'm sure it makes one hell of a pocket rocket in the E2e from the beamshots I've seen.
