Here's yet another addition to my vast collection of cheap lanterns. I've noticed it in Target for some time now, but had decided I just didn't need another lantern. Well, I found it tonight further reduced in price to $2.38. Couldn't resist, again.

It runs on 4 C batteries, so it should have some serious burn time. There are 16 LEDs inside the central light tube. Just one speed. It appears to be a bit brighter than the Coast (Eddie Bauer) 4 AA, but not quite up to the old 4 AA River Rock. There's more glare than the Coast and less than the RR. It's much larger and heavier than either of those. I wouldn't expect it to survive a fall beyond maybe a foot without the plastic cracking.

Like my other lanterns this one probably won't see much use, but I had some C batteries getting old that needed a home.

Nice, good price. It makes a good night light you put on the nightstand. It would be nice if the switch was on the side with knob, sort of odd being on top. C batteries aren't as commonly used. I don't remember the last time I bought C batteries since none of my lights use it. With led run time should be very long but I still like regular bulbs though. I was thinking of picking up an incandescent model like.

I was looking at them the other day,for 2.38 how can you go wrong.
