On a recent kayak trip to Bowron Lakes in central eastern British Colombia Canada, I took my Abeland1 "higher on the bell curve" green laser along.

The Bowron Lake circuit is a 72 mile journey through a chain of about a dozen lakes. It is absolutely beautiful. The only light pollution comes from the moon. The stars seem so close that you can almost reach out and touch them. Highly recommended if you get the chance to go.

The weather is variable. I have seen a range between 38 - 85 degrees Fahrenheit. This trip we had good weather.

As we paddled down the Caribou River into Lanezi Lake, we noticed the air was filled with smoke from nearby forest fires. Our campsite had a nice sandy beach, and we sat on the beach and watched the beautiful colors of sunset in the smoke filled air.

That night I brought out the green laser. WOW!!! You could see the beam up, down and across the lake. Smoke filled air is wonderful for playing with a green laser.

Several people in our party had never seen a higher powered laser and were fascinated. I had to stay up late to get my turn. We were playing with the laser so much that I got concerned that someone further down the lake might get the wrong idea and think UFO’s were landing.

For your next camping trip, I would recommend taking along a green laser.
