I second this! I've just referred a colleague to him who wound up purchasing a 5mw Leadlight, and he's quite impressed with it. He showed it to me today and it's every bit as bright as my 5mw, so it works as advertised.

Most common cause of abberations is FOD present on exposed optic i.e. collimator.

Forgive my ignorace, but what is FOD?

I tried cleaning lenses to no avail. Is this something I can fix? I feel like I am losing too much output to this "streak".

FOD = Foreign Object Debris.

In the discussion of past tense and/or cause/effect it could be Foreign Object Damage.

No I'm not pleased with my new Leadlight from Abeland because it give only 10mW at max current! Very bad optical components alignement and not enough powerful laser diode. But I think (hope) the over lasers he sells are better than mine (just can't be worse at all), I just haven't luck... I've asked Abeland on details on my laser but he didn't respond, that irritate me.

Funny your not pleased with a product that doubled the rated output.....How are you not happy with seller??? Plain retarded if you ask me. Thats like buying a motorcyle that rated at 100mph and becuase it won't do 200Mph you pissed at the Dealer?? HMMM

Hey, I am pleased, but a little disappointed, is it better convenient for you?
My old Leadlight gave me 20x the rated power (100mW), that's why I am not happy. Furthermore, my new laser consumes a lot of current for a little output power, so the batteries have a short life! And this for a little power!

My motorcycle goes 175 mph but it's too much fast, I don't expected that it will go faster because I seriously don't need it!! It's a bad example /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

And I never pissed at the dealer please, just saying that I expected more from his lasers, like all the other persons who have buyed one from abeland.

Fussy, I ordered a 5mW and I obtained a 5mW, not 10. I just modded it at an incredible level to obtain 10mW, with the same input of current on my old Leadlight, I obtained 100.
