Interesting. Given all the stuff that has gone on in previous years regarding trademarks in domain names, I don't think Arc would have any trouble getting it from them if they wanted it.

Looking on the bright side /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif at least the site will still create sales for Arc.

Better that than a direct competitor get the URL just to reduce Arcs turnover.
 
That's why a lot of companies go to considerable trouble to register as many possible permutations and misspellings of their name.. although they aren't always successful.

My favorite story of such "one letter off" scams was between 2 major phone companies. I forget which was which now, but lets say it was AT&T that was hawking 1-800-OPERATOR as their collect call service. but if you dialed 1-800-OPERATER you got MCI (or was it sprint, I don't remember the details)

I believe companies can use legal action to get names that include their company name, so cybersquatting domain names is slowly dying out.
