Hello all,

after reading some posts here in CPF, and for the look of it, I've decided about an H3 P5900 from Traser, non branded.

The dealer who is selling it, has a very low price, or atleast I consider it low (Has a better price than ordering from US). My question is, there exist fake or 'clone' H3 watches, or all the watches availables, are original? I know about fake Memory Sticks, etc... but not sure with this watch.

I can chose both bracelets, Textile or the leather one. What is the one to have, due resistance and duration?

Ah, I forgot to tell. I've emailed several times Traser, but never got a reply from them. Anybody had the same problem?

Thanks!

Antonio

Yes there are fakes but they'd likely be coming from Asia...if this is an official Traser dealer you should be OK. Odd that Traser won't respond but then again most businesses are not good about it these days. I prefer textile but I think both will last as long as you take care of them...just preference.

Thanks sejvaar,

mine will come from Cyprus, and the seller claims to be a dealer of Traser. The price is +- the same like in the LaPoliceGear so I think it is original. Also he said I can claim the guarantee period from the website of Traser.

Will get textile ;)

Thank you,

Antonio

I would verify this guy with Traser before you buy.

Chipre no es siempre honesto...verifiqúelo.

Buena suerte!

sejvaar,

Im from Spain, and the watch is availabe at ebay. The seller replied all my questions, he guarantee them to be original, and he say is an authorized dealer, and is also member of square trade with a good feedback, offering return guarantee. Looks very trustworthy for me. He is w-w-watch24 at eBay.

Gracias sejvaar ;),

Hello,

I just want to post here an upgrade in case of somebody find my post looking for info about this seller.

I've bought from him and he sells them with guarantee, authorized dealer from Greece. The watch was sent the Friday, and I got it the Monday (this morning). A great guy to deal with, very responsive ;)

Thanks,

Antonio

I had a P5900 (until some unknown @#$%er at work stole it) and I liked it a lot. Not fancy, but a great every day, who-cares-if-it-gets-banged-up watch. Very light on the wrist. The steel bezel is kinda soft, so it will get dings and scratches. The window isn't sapphire, (just mineral glass), but I never got any scratches on the window. To be honest, it's a rather cheap watch, just the tritium makes it expensive compared to other watches. Still, it kept time pretty well.

I just ordered a P5904 20 minutes ago to replace the one I lost.

Question about Trasers.
I have the P6500. Worked well, but battery died. Got it changed today, but the guy asked if I wanted it water resistance tested. He said that when the changed the battery, they broke the seal. True, or was he just trying get me to test it to make sure?
If they changed the battery and reclosed the watch (4 screws), is it still water resistant?

Thanks

Dan, as far as I know, the watch need to be re-sealed with special equipment, and make them in 'vacum'. You should have sent it to Traser or an aut dealer, I will not give mine for example to a normal watch shop, atleast here in spain they probably damage my watch.

So now that I haven't, can I just get it resealed by any repair shop? It's not some proprietary system right?
It's out of warranty anyways (been almost 4 years now).
On top of that, there isn't any authorized dealer here in Canada, so I'd have to ship it down to the States, and then back up here.

The watch repair shop I went to get the battery changed, off the resealing at $30. Sound about right?

just lube up the o-ring with some silicone grease like you do for your flashlights and you should be fine unless you are a serious diver.

Hello Dan,

Do what leukos said, that should work fine.

Price seems to be very expensive, atleast for me. A dealer of Traser told me that they can replace my battery for free, just the shipping fees.

Antonio

I guess I'll just go that route.
Shipping charge for me would be $15 one way from Canada.
I'm not planning to diving with it or anything.
