Has anyone here had a go at swapping the bodies on these lights to make a 1x123A 2 level light?

If so any tips or techniques would be appreciated...

Just a guess, but I doubt it would work due to circuitry differences. Lux3 lights typically need about 3.3V. So the 1x123 (3V) light probably uses a step up circuit while the 2x123 (6V) light probably uses a step down circuit. My guess is that the 301X-3 head on a 303X body probably would not light at all.

The 301X-3 is a direct drive with a resistor. The 301X-3 head will work with the QIII body if you use a RCR123, but won't be very bright. You can put the 301X-3 two stage cap on the QIII. Don't put the 301X-3 body on the QIII head or it will go .
