Hi all,I'm new to the CPF tho I've been reading the forum quite a while.

I do own some Surefires,E2DL and G3L. The SF batteries included in G3L dried out yesterday.I hardly notice dimming during the use,not until yesterday. So I replaced them with Energizer Lithium Photo.Tho I still have some more spares of Energizer,I'm kinda in the search for good and reliable CR123A with reasonable price.

I did some search on eBay and I found "Solarforce" Lithium CR123A batteries 3.0v 1400mah.The deal is good and the battery itself looks ok.The only thing that worries me is that, they're not U.S. made (HK I guess).I've seen some threads about Lithium batteries exploding inside the flashlight and it scares me a lot(can't imagine how severe damage it'd cause if all 3 CR123A's in my G3L explode whether I'm holding it or not :eeew:)

Has anyone had experices with those "Solarforce" CR123A lithium batteries? Is it safe to use non-U.S. made lithium batteries with Surefire flashlight?(Surefire wouldn't recommend it for sure )

Here's how it looks like.(looks ok to me)

You can get Made in USA CR123A cells from online dealers (Lighthound, Battery Junction, 4Sevens, Battery Station) for a per cell price that is approx 50% cheaper than the Solarforce cells.
