Has anyone ever tried using multiple multi-mode drivers in the same light to drive multiple leds? Lol, let me clarify...like using one multi-mode driver per led in a 3Xcree light all off of the same switch and battery. My concern is that the boards will not always switch modes correctly and you will end up with one led on high, and the other two on medium, for example. i would think that since they are off of the same switch, they would change modes uniformly but i'm not sure. any help would be appreciated, thanks!:twothumbs

i am interested too, my biggest worry is not that it gets offset from the others, but that it becomes heck to get it reset or synced again.
i suppose one of them that always starts at "med" or has no memory would solve that problem.

mabey the switch used to bump it would also make a difference, a "overrated" switch like say a nice clean well working fat mag switch, would cleanly change states, an aged switch, or poorly overrated one like is sometimes used because of the lack of space, would more likly cause a burp in power that could set things off.
a twisty , forgeddaboutit :)

This is exactly what I'm working on. Three rebel 100s with a board for each in a coast lenser V2. I guess I'll find out.

i'm working on a couple similar projects, driving 3 crees or 3 rebels off of some boards i got from kaidomain. i love the boards but i'm not sure if it will work. i guess we'll find out in time!

Using a Shark bored with external logic engine (external Circuit that replaces the pot) can create infinite mods of different light output, from differential strobe to simple level brightness.

If you ar planing to use some of dx multimode boards, you can do it, BUT with some nodification. You will need to control all board by one - from "main" board solder wire to uController output pin other end - to the same point on second and third board WITH disconecting the uC pin or remove the uC from 2 and 3 boards.

thanks! that helps out a lot! i knew there had to be a way to get them all working in unison. how do I know which pin to solder to on the controller chip? i will be using these boards from kai...thanks!
