I hunt coyote at night and was wondering if a LED light could be mounted to a hat? Like a miners light. I have one made by HuntSmart that works well but a battery has to be carried on my belt. I'm looking for something light and reasonable on price.

Many smaller lights with bezel-up belt clips can be clipped to a hat brim. Two that immediately spring to mind are the Romisen RC-N3 (in 1x123 mode) and the Quark AA.

I ordered the Nitecore D10 Headband from 4SEvENS, and I gotta say it is quite impressive! I really didnt expect much out of it since it was only $7.50, but it is very versatile when it comes to the angles you can position the light hands free. I highly recommend it, and you can adjust it to use to go on your hat, or simply on your head. Plus you can use almost any portable light the size of a Nitecore D10 on it. Just a thought...

1der,
I'm sure you've probably seen the new Predator Light being touted on the PredatorMastersForums (night section). Exactly the light you want, but the price is too high.

Yes I have. It's new AND very pricey. I can't see that that light will able to shine out at 150, 200 yards. I hunt with a LightForce 170 now and it will shine out over 300 + yards. But it is a large light. I'm sure someone will have something cheaper soon.
