I've been meaning to write this for a while now, but I haven't had the time yet. This is just something I think you should know about the WE sniper. Apologies to mods if it is in the wrong place; since this isn't a review I thought it would be best here. :)

I recently got a Wolf-Eyes sniper LED + Incan torch for christmas, and right out of the box it was a great torch! I've managed to impress a lot of people with its sheer output! However, just a few days ago, the incandescent assembly stopped working (not from a dead bulb... :huh2:), and the LED assembly was working erratically. :wtf: After a lot of looking inside the torch and wondering what was going on :duh2::confused:, I finally discovered what the problem was: the circlet that holds the glass into the bezel was tightened enough so that it held the glass in fine, but wasn't pressing the modules down to the points where they touched both contacts (pos and neg)! So I unscrewed it a bit and the LED started to function nicely again.

HOWEVER, the Incan still wouldn't function, unless I held it in by hand (without the bezel) so that it touched both contacts. The circlet had to be unscrewed to the point where the glass became loose and more susceptible to shaking and breaking before the circlet in the bezel pushed the incan against the body enough to get it to work.

I am not trying to 'diss' the torch by any means, it is a very nice one, and it has been my EDC ever since I got it (my first 'good' torch! :)) . I think that another, shorter? circlet has to go inside the bezel before this fault is eliminated. Anyone know what the inside diam. of the sniper bezel is, and the type of threading, so that I can find one to fit?

Perhaps WE should make their circlet thicker in future so that this problem doesn't pop up again for other users!

Contact the dealer you bought it from with a bit of luck it is Glen C Wolf-Eyes by Quarterflash
and he should be able to look after you.
Norm
P.S. had lots of WE torches and never a problem.

Yep, was Glen that I bought it from, and he sure knows how to hook people on his torches! ;) Will contact him soon, since me and my family is pretty busy atm... It's not really much of a problem than an annoyance anyway, since the LED is working now :).
