Well, not really a review, but figured this was the best forum to post it
Received the MTE 5-Mode SSC from DX (sku.4896), pretty decent light, not the best, but for the price it's quite good, even though I like my UF C3 a lot better
One of my irks with it was they glued everything tight except for the tail cap. But at some point I accidentally unscrewed the head instead of the tail (seems it's not glued with any stong glue, did take some force ). First only went a quarter or so, and after some fiddeling I could get it off entirely
So opened it up, removed glue everywhere, added some lubricant to the threads, now I like it a bit more ^_^
As a bonus I can use it as twisty too now, which works better then the actual clicky for switching modes
And, I've got some pictures of the reflector/led/electronics assembly, which is the reason for this post
Woohoo, plastic reflector held in place with glue. The C3 is a lot better in that regard. No idea what the number means
Shows the thread and the back pcb better.
And a good look at the whole assembly.
Another view of the reflector. Forgot to take a pic that shows the actual led.. Ahwell Can see that on the DX site
That's all folks
Feel free to ask about the light if there's anything you'd like to know about it
