Here in New York the NYPD has a small fleet of helicopters. I'm not a helicopter buff, but recall a couple of articles in the paper about them, recently because they will be deployed for the RNC next week.
Anyways, I believe the choppers use the Nightsun (30million cp) from Spectrolab: Nightsun
The article last week also mentioned we have a new helicopter in New York, the Koala:
That helicopter is usually paired with a different Spectrolab (15million cp) searchlight: Starburst
but I remember the article saying it was getting a super duper searchlight, but it didn't mention which.
Yah I want on with a Spctrolab CHIS mounted on front. The battery drain may be a problem. Hey if you own a Hummer, you could always mount it on it. If one of my investments flys, I get one. Its only money and you can't take it with. Chech it out: /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/buttrock.gif http://www.spectrolab.com/DataSheets/SX16/ILS_Searchlights_CHIS.pdf
Should out shine a dozen X990's /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/happy14.gif

I was out walking in the country a year or so ago and got hit by one so far away that I could not hear the chopper.
I jumped and started counting seconds to see how far away the lightning was. I did not expect to get to 2.
Then I realized there were no clouds in the sky...
The only reason I even saw the copter was because they had the light still on.
