I have a BB500 in a Fire Fly and yesterday it would only come on intermittently. Now it will not fire up at all? It is not the Fire Fly as I put another BB in and it works fine any ideas?

There are a few threads in DSpecs area regarding this. Off the top of my head I think the solder blob is not making contact. It could be marginal in height and if the anode of the battery gets indented it might not make contact any longer.
See if that battery is indented on either side and if so try another battery.
There is also a potential Bezel screw down too much sympton that you can read more about in DSpecks area. I think this applies only to the FF2, but, I'm not positive on it.

This is an old FF Rev1 that has worked for a year just fine. I put a new battery and re soldered the blob.

I noticed tonight that the LED is glowing and flickering very dimmly. Anyone have any idea's?

No ideas, but the same thing has happened to me with a BB750--I could not fix it.
