From much research I decided to get a flashlight that uses 1xAA. I want a flashlight that I can use 14500 lith-ion, Eneloop, and lithiums.

I think I narrowed it down to these. Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

I want to use it as a EDC and I want to clip it in my pocket or occasionally on my belt.

I am trying to stay under $70 shipped.

out of the options, I've only had the LD10 and QAA(NW tho).....

LD10-never had any issues, then again only used nimhs and alkalines in it

QAA-ran on 14500s its entire life, worked for 3-4months then didn't work properly.... on 14500- max mode fine, no strobe.... loosened head-only a ultra low moon mode worked. on eneloops- max mode fine, no strobe.... loosened head-only a moon mode strobe(which is kinda cool). good 10yr warranty, but itll take 2 months to fix(which is a "long" time, but I like the up front honesty... and the fact that it gave me a reason to buy another light for the time being)

Ive recently purchased the JB rrt-0... all is good with it so far(couple minor issues.. clip sucks, ring is a little loose and can get clogged with debris). It is $18 more than your $70 limit/budget.

out of the options in the poll I'd say LD10(because I havent tried the rest)... I'd go with the JB, but have never tried that one out.

Well I'm biased toward my new Quark AAx2, but if I wanted a smaller light I'd probably go with the Quark AAx1 because I like the UI and settings. In fact, I could just buy an AAx1 tube and use the head/tail from my current unit. If I wanted something smaller, I'd try the Quark Mini AA.
:D
Obviously the other lights are garbage and unreliable.
Just kidding...I think anything that does the trick is fine.

The Nitecore D10. It has been at the top of most folks list around here for some time. The ramping feature is so very nice. Jet I is a little big. I've got a lot of lights and just purchased my first D10, in fact, 3 of them, the Golden Dragon, Q5 and the SP. The Q5 outputs plenty, very compact and that ramping ....

I'll be receiving my Quark AA within the week and can compare are report back. But the piston is design is a great feature of the D10.

Yeah I will be interested in your opinion on how the Quark AA compares with the Nitecore D10. I have seem beamshots, runtimes, etc but sometimes it just comes down to which one you like better (if you could only keep one for example).

I was really considering the D10 R2. When I went to put it in the shopping cart it said it was back ordered :(
I am kind of pissed because the website should have showed that it was out of stock before putting it into the cart.

So does anyone know somewhere that sells the D10 R2 still?

Thank you. I never thought about Eagletac. I will check them out.

JETbeam Jet-1 Pro V3. Just dont run it on full power with the 14500 battery for more than a couple minutes.

Nitecore D10. . . . I prefer it or my EX10 for EDC simply because the piston drive infinitely adjustable brightness is incredibly fun to play with when bored. And being fun to goof off with is an important part of EDC IMO.

If I didn't want something to play with a lot, I'd go with the Quark.

Aren't these hard to find now since they were discontinued?
To be fair the P10A is also a great flashlight, but also discontinued.
