Hello I'm new to the forumI'm from the uk.I'm looking for a small torch to use on my bike.I bought one from ebay that said it had a cree Q5 and is 240 lumens but its prety poor.can you recommend a cheap torch under $100 and were to buy pref in the uk.
thank you

I've try looking the product on ebay with ur description "cree q5 240 lumens".
but it come up with so many result. start from unknown brand to hi branded such as fenix (tk11,tk12) and jetbeam (rrt 1 & 2).
therefor i'm not sure ur definition about "poor".
my suggestion is don't buy unknown branded while u can't make sure the quality of the light.
try well known brand such as surefire, fenix, jetbeam, quark, olight, etc.
if u really want the high lumens flashlight and less then 100 bucks, try using l2 as the body and find the dropin sst-50 or mc-e (u can find those on ebay as well).

hi thanks for the replys.
By poor I meant it does'nt seem very bright.
I have been looking at some light and they have a choice of reflector smooth or OP can you tell me what the difference is between them.

thank you

A OP (orange peel) textured reflector smooths out the beam causing less rings in the beam a smooth reflector can have more rings (dark circles nearly empty of light) but the smooth reflector gives the beam a bit more throw putting light at greater distances.

Just type in "OP reflector or Smooth" in the search box and you should find some better explanations and comparisons.
