Help! Convert NIMH 3C to 2AA+2AA+2AA?

If I put two AAs in parallel, and put 3 of them to replace it in a 3C LED torchlight, logically it seems implementable. Will there be any problems?

Does that mean 2 1850mAh 'AA' batteries become a 'C'size 3700mAh?

Ummm... 2 AA batteries side-by-side (assuming that's what you are thinking) are significantly larger in width than the diameter of a C cell.

Doh! I measured the height but forgot the width! Why do I always ask stupid questions?

Just put 3AA's in the light and 3 more in your pocket. That will be almost the same as 3C's.
