Hi,

Went to turn on my TK10 just before, and it didnt come on :(

I have switched tailcaps, pulled tailcaps apart etc, and narrowed it down to the plastic clicker thing thats on the circle disk with the spring stuck to it.

Thats pretty much the lowest common denominator isnt it? i cant test inside that. It still clickes etc, and feels normal, something must have come loose inside it.

I guess I get to test out that customer service now correct? (i have already tried cleaning the contact... no use...)

If i push and hold the button the light will light, but as soon as i release it turns off again.

Open the tailcap, connect the end of the battery to the body of the light electrically. A wire would work, paper clip, etc. Connect to the aluminum part at the end of the thread that is bright, silver and shiny. If it lights up, your switch is dead.

If not, try a new battery. If it still doesn't light up, you have a defective head. Call your dealer.

No no, already done all that, its definitly the clicker switch. I swapped the tail cap and bits out of and into my TK11, and everything is fine except for the clicker thingo.

Lighthound has some switch assemblies for the tk series lights for just a few bucks. When I saw these on their website I ordered two and stored them away for future use. An inexpensive solution is only a few clicks and a credit card away.

They are on this page:

Thanks for that, I am a big believe in redundancies, and as over half of my torches use the same switch i have brought 3 (just incase the warranty falls through, i will have 2 spare switches, and I already have a heap of spare lights lol, the chance of me ever having no working torch on hand now is minimal!!).

While I was in the ordering stuff off them i also got a gold ring i was sooking about not having in some other thread and some gel to put on the threads of the TK40 (that are currently dry..)

Now its just a waiting game to see if my switch will get replaced without me spending $10 to post the torch back for a $5 switch lol.

**Update**

As an update, Marco from Led Torches Australia is sending me a new switch today, no questions asked :) :)

I did not noticed that you where in Australia but here in the US I called Fenix Outfitters to let them know about my switch and they only ask me for the Serial # on the led head and sent me a new one, no questions asked.
Great Service.

Hey guys I was wondering what´s the right order to install the tailcap parts?

First rubber cover, second the metal washer, third the plastic cover and then the switch?

I´m right or not?

Thank you.

Get a thin knife, pry it open in a plastic bag, because the spring, and tiny parts will jump out.
Put dielectric grease or deoxit gold (I like the dielectric grease better) in and put it back together, work better than new.

and narrowed it down to the plastic clicker thing thats on the circle disk with the spring stuck to it.
