I had my mini with madmax done up with a C/D reflector, and liked it a lot!

But I want to carry it again.

I tried holding a hogged out MiniM*g reflector up to the madmax, and it looks okay.

But with the Mini reflector in the stock head, it won't screw down nearly enough.

Now the Madmax ain't BAD with the optic... but a relector gives more of a spot with great spill!

What can I do?

so you mean the modified MM reflector does not screw down enough to turn the light off right? So then you need to get a Kroll switch to turn the light on and off instead of twisting the head.

No, you don't get it.

With the reflector in the head where it belongs, the reflector (with the bottom opened up enough) will not get down to the LED to focus the beam. I can hold it there with my hand without the head, and it will focus.

The head just won't screw down far enough.

I don't know if all minim*gs are like this, or is mine just a hardcase?

I'd really like to make it work. I LIKE reflectors!

Maybe an O-ring between the lens and the reflector will help?
Sorry, just guessing.

sand the reflector shoulder, so the reflector can drop in the head and use the o ring to keep it from moving.
