Hey all,

I currently EDC a Firewolf M-16 that I just simple love. But, there are a few issues that have now made me wanting something the same but at the same time a tad better. So here is what I am looking for.

A single cell CR123-

Tactical forward switch with some way of locking it out. ( My beloved Firewolf has no lock out)

THROWING MONSTER- My Firewolf can travel!!!

Multi-mode with Strobe. Preferably one handed operation again like the Firewolf.

Some sort of warning that the battery is getting ready to die. As of right now my Firewolf just dies.

Bascially I want my Firewolf M-16 but I want it to have a lock out and some sort of battery indicator.

Oh, I also love the strike Bezel on the M-16 model. I really like that light!!!! But, those two items are driving me crazy.

I would like to stay under $50.00 if possible.

Please let me know, I am thinking maybe a Solarforce L2m? I am not wanting to spend alot as I fear losing it. But I would still like it to be reliable.

Thanks everyone

Any reason you want a 1xCR123 one?

That makes for a very little light, and small lights generally don't have the reflector to throw very far. I'd think a 2xCR123 one might work better.

Have you checked the roundups in the sticky under LED lights?

I would think something like this:
http://www.shiningbeam.com/servlet/the-125/**NEW**-MG-X-dsh-Thrower-SST-dsh-50/Detail

Other possibilities more on the budget side would be:
http://www.shiningbeam.com/servlet/the-215/Romisen-RC-dsh-C8-II-Q5/Detail
(2xcr123 but has the modes)
or

http://www.shiningbeam.com/servlet/the-162/Romisen-RC-dsh-C6-II-Q5/Detail
(no strobe mode but 1xcr123)

I think it might be tough to find a budget version of what you want, and also difficult to verify that a particular light has your requirements.

The L2M isn't a bad choice. You'll have plenty of options with that, including lots of drop-ins, different battery configurations, and different talicap/switches. Even a big pointy strike bezel if that's your thing. Imagine it fitted with these... :naughty:

Thanks Joe, The specs that I gave are basically the specs from my Firewolf M-16. I love that light. It is a single 123, throws like Mad!!!has a tactical front end it is a multi mode that is all ran through the rear button so it is a one handed light and it has tactical on. the light is great only you can't lock it out for pocket carry and the light gives no warning of low battery it just stops!!!.
My Firewolf is only 26 bucks brand new but I can not find a dealer as the one that was here on CPF has pretty much called it quits. So, I was hoping to find something that was basicaly the same as my firewolf only with some and of low battery warning and the ability to lock it out for pocket carry .
Thank you for the reply I am looking at your links now. I will keep ya posted as to what I find out.:twothumbs
