Hello,trying to mod this light.
Original this light was +-130000lux, so i changed the xml2 for a xpl HI and i got +-260000lux.
Pulled +-3amps from the 18650 imr batt, so i added a second sense resitor 0.05 ohms, but then it pulled +-3.2amps (not more).
Can it be that the Vf of the xpl HI is to high for one 18650?

Then i orderd a second batt tube to fit my m25c2turbo so i can fitt 2 18650batts.
Now the led pulls +-4.5amps measured at the switch(nice white color no blue,so i dont think i am overdriving?) on 2 18650 (3400eagletac batts), do you think its ok like this?
I now have +-416000lux! (with the second 0.05 resistor)

With 2 18650 : 8.4volts x 4.5amps = 37.8 watts (-losses in the convertor) thats +-25-30watts to the xpl hi! Can this be thrue?

Thanks marc

It's been a while since I studied for my low-voltage contractor's license, but yes. Ohm's law says P (Watts) = I (current) X E (volts). Of course, that is assuming 100% efficiency in the circuits involved.
