Modding a Nitecore EC22?

I was thinking about putting a different LED into a Nitecore EC22. How difficult is it to remove the very top of the head where the reflector is at?

Does anyone have any input on this? Not sure how Nitecore makes their lights...if the part that would reveal the LED can even be opened after it constructed.

Looks like the head can be unscrewed at the seam right below the triangle with the “Hot” warning. It will likely be glued shut with thread locker.

Ugh....that's what I was afraid of. That's gonna require a heat gun, isn't it?
