UNDER GOD
On Tuesday I'm going in for surgery to reattach a ripped bicep tendon to the bone. I'm rightie.
I won't be able to use the right arm for three months...YIKES!!
I forgot that I'm gonna need a bag or pouch to use. Carry wallet, money, camera, pda or pad, knife..About it I think.
I need to order before Tuesday.
Belt mount or sling..I guess and Easy access left hand only use.
Which one?
Fatboy, I think is just for righties
Spec Ops pac rat?
Maxpedition..which one??
Thanks for thoughts, info, etc.
Tom

Re: HELP! Need quick info on leftie carry bag/pouc

In spite of how it looks, I'm pretty sure the fatboy can be used for a lefty.
If I'm right about this, then you could continue to use it once your right arm is healed.

Do a search at bladeforums.com. This topic has come up in the past. I'm almost certain that it can be carried left handed just fine.

Let the rest of us REAL lefties know what you decide to get.

Thanks Scott
A Brother on USN, Ed T (God Bless Him) is loaning me a fatboy to see if it fills the bill.
I'll give a full review /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif from the one hand leftie perspective

Re: HELP! Need quick info on leftie carry bag/pouc

I tried mine on my left side, and it does work OK, although you can't wear it as far back on your rear when wearing it cross shoulder due to the fact that the shoulder pad will only slide so far 'till it hits the big quick release buckle. I find myself wearing it just slung over the shoulder though unless I'm hiking with it.

Hi, Sorry to hear about your surgery, but I am a lefty, and I use the FatBoy everyday. I keep it across my right shoulder, and keep it on my left hip. I have to slide it around to the front a little to get at my cell phone, but otherwise, nothing but great things to say about all of Maxpedition products.

Not sure the FatBoy is such a good deal for a Leftie - both sheaths will be to the rear, and potentially hard to get to. Same for many of the zippers.

You might try the Thermite - nearly the same as the FatBoy in terms of size and capacity, and can be carried over the shoulder, but as a waistpack/thigh pouch, it's set up symmetrically, instead of the asymmetrical cut of the Fatboy.

good luck! I had a tendon in my finger re-attached, and the recovery felt really long, mostly because I was feeling great, but couldn't put any pressure on it for fear of popping it back out... very hard to keep sedate enough to avoid re-injury.
