Hello, this is my first post, I'm not knowledgeable on flashlights, but I'm looking for a good one for my weapon mount. I was looking for one in the 600-700 lumen range, mainly Olight and Fenix, then I came across a few cheaper flashlights. Wondering if these are as good, or better than the olight fenix lights.

UltraFire WF-800 5x P4 CREE LED 800 lumens.

Solarforce L1000 - Seoul SSC P7 LED

Solarforce L950m Flashlight - Seoul SSC P7 LED

Solarforce L1200 Flashlight - Replaceable Incandescent Halogen Bulb (IH-1200)

I need one with some decent range, I believe you call that throw around here. I plan on using this light to help me hunt some coyotoes that have been causing issue with cattle, I tried going with a spotlight, but its a hassle fumbling between that and my rifle. So I opted to find one that would mount to make things A LOT easier.
If you have any other suggestions, I'm looking for something in the 100 dollar range with some batteries and charger (maybe a tail switch).

Thanks in advance.

I have a superfire handheld flashlight (same idea as ultra fire, cheap asian brand knock off) it claimed to be 200+ lumens and is about 60-70 lumens. The batteries and charger it came with did not work, i tried a different charger/batteries with the ones in came with nothin. I would recommend Fenix or other brand names.

Is this statement correct? If so, I'm staying the hell away superfire, but is ultrafire the same thing?

yes. In short, you get what you pay for. Take a look at Jetbeams, Fenix, to name a few, if you really want a weaponlight, get Surefire, you can't go wrong with surefire.

In the meantime, have a look at some lights mounted on weapons

Appreciate the response. I've had a surefire before lost it in a move at somepoint. But after looking at other lights, sure fire is WAY overpriced. And just because it's not a "weapon" light, doesn't mean I can mount it, anything with a diameter of .96-1.26 you can get mount rings for.

Any ideas what the brightest light is with that diameter under 100?

I suggest checking out a Jet III Military with weapons remote from bugoutgear, with the CPFJET 20% discount, it's under $100. It's a great light, tough and hardy, 2 modes, head tightened = max 225lumens, head loosened = user programmable mode.

Spear clone !
Almost all the larger head flashlights that use XR-E emitters are throwers ..
As for batteries ? AW2600 would be one of the better ..

Are you looking for specific recommendations ..?

What sort of range are you planning on shooting at ?
100 / 200 / 300 yards
Caliber ? Rimfire , 222/223 class / 243-220swift-6mm / 308-307 / or more in the 300Win mag class .... or one of the Howitzers built on the 460Weatherby case .

Kind of shooting in the dark here / excuse the pun .

Apart from the size you cannot fault the Solarforce.
It really should not be mentioned in the same breath as XXXXfire types.

Just check your zero and effects of heating on your mounting.
Your rifle might not shoot at the same spot without the light attached.
