My luck with mods has not been so good lately. While trying to change the optics in an ARC LS Rev.1 second, I discovered that the circuit board was glued quite well to the bottom of the bezel. I tried prying gently, which worked, but the two small square brown components decided to remain behind in the bezel along with a fair amount of epoxy.

What were they and where can I get a couple new ones to solder on? The board looks fine otherwise.

Thanks

Most likely the capacitors. Get something like 6.3V/47uF from DigiKey and solder them on the enpty pads---trace the board first to confirm this, please!

Same opinion. The Arc-LS rev1 uses 2 parallel circuits to deliver the necessary power. The only components that are brown are the capacitors. Rest of components are black. Good Luck.

I agree with the other two opinions. If you want to find out exactly what they were, call Arc and ask to talk to Peter about it. He was very helpful with a similar problem involving a diode.

The brown components are indeed Caps, specs are:
Kemet Tantulum Capacitor (T494B476K006AS)

Thanks for all you help. Once I find the parts I'll try my luck at board repair.
