Hi everyone!

A little background on this - i love biking, but i never manage to get home from work early enough to do any daylight riding. I decided I wanted to build a bike light of my own that just rocked!

Now, I am a pretty big guy, and my bike is no featherweight either, so while I realize that the power requirements for this project, especially as battery weight goes, is less than desirable for most, but for me, a few extra pounds on the bike wasn't going to break it :P

By posting, I'm hoping to get some feedback, constructive criticisms, maybe a little photography help as far as being able to document the light output a little more scientifically, as i've seen done around here.

so far it's been a real trip to build... it's still a work in progress and hopefully I'll have it ready to go this winter.

Future developments include a seat mounted rack for the battery, controls for power and high beam, a boot to seal the wires into the "projector housing", and perhaps a battery discharge indicator.

For now though, here's what it looks like:

the low beam

the high beam

the rest

Thanks for looking!
