High Dome vs Low Dome

Forgive me for the newbie post, but can someone explain what the differences are between a LS High Dome and low dome? Any why the price difference?

Low domes put more of their light forward than high domes. High domes give a nice amount of sidespill light. At least, that happens before they are being redirected by the NX-05 optics. I would like to know what happens after that too.
