Is there any high powered bulb that will fit a mini mag so that i could mod it? I want something that when properly driven will give out 500+ lumens. If there is such a bulb, where could i get it?

Not that I know of. 500 lumens is a whooooole lotta light, especially out of an incan. (LEDs might get there someday soon). The closest you'll find is probably the Aurora conversion kit, which lets you use Streamlight TL3 bulbs in your minimag. This should get you 100-150 lumens, and it's the brightest incan conversion kit I know of for a minimag.

It seems like the limit would be the number and size of the batteries that fit in the MiniMag's casing; I simply don't think you can get enough power to pump out 500 lumens from the batteries that would fit in a minimag's tube....

Best of luck with your search!

I was considering fitting 10-15 watch batteries in a 3 AA mini mag for 15-23V to drive the bulb. I just need a bulb that can handle 15+V and fit in the mini mag. As for fitting them in there i will find a way. even if I have to add to the casing or use tin foil to layer the inside. But from what you say, the bulb sounds harder to find.

Watch batteries will not be able to handle that kind of current. That's a big part of high-power bulbs. For example, SF's M6 is about 45W. It's "only" 9V, but also draws about 5A. Watch batteries would be more comfortable with 5mA (about a thousandth of the M6 bulb's current draw), if that.
