is the Thor-X 10,000,000 candlepower spotlight the best high powered spotlight out there? any others i should look at? and where can i get the Thor?
thanks

Definately the best dollar for dollar. I have one, it's impressive, You can either have a Thor or 2 maglites for the same price, easy decision /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I don’t think you will find anything more powerful in the Thor price range as most 12V lights use 100W lamps some use less but 100W is the most I have see in consumer type spotlights. Vector makes a 2MCP 12V spotlight that is also sold under the Husky name at Home Depot, it’s a nice light but I think it has a smaller battery than the Thor thus a shorter run time still in the same price range when on sale.

Might as well buy the new 15 million CP Thor when it's available because no one here has dished out for it yet and it may be a lot brighter than the 10 MCP version.

The Thor is great. But, don't 'dis' the 2.25 MCP Husky light. That too is a great deal.

For $25 it's almost certain you won't find anything better.

However, if you're willing to spend a little more ($30 - $50) Vector and Coleman make some nice ones. I think Vector has the nicest mass market discount store spotlight - that I've seen.

Also check Harbor Freight.
