Home portected 18650 VS factory Protected???

what are the lengths of the two?

are the home added cell protectection extending the battery to longer than facotry protected cells?

and what is the method of ataching?

solder a tab to + teminal then fold over potection PCB then re Heat shrink?

i want to know the same thing. I see batterjunction cells with built in PCB protection and wonder, A) does it make the cells to long to fit in a light (they are 2mm longer), B) are they any better or worse than the small circular PCB board you can buy and solder yourself/heatshrink wrap.

I actually bought both and am waiting for them in the mail. if the quality of the build is good, the built PCB is probably the same PCB you can buy.

but I will report back on tests.
