Homemade Bicycle Dynamo

Ok... Short to start, then I'll detail as needed in responces...

This is a bottom bracket gen. I plan to recharge a battery of some sort that will be my power for a nice set of front and rear lights....

No lights or battery planned yet, so I came here to first seek thoughts on this working well?
