I have a camping trip coming up on me and now I don't have a flashlight diffuser(like this) for me Fenix L2D, nor do I have the time to order it. So if anyone has any ideas on how to do this I would love to here it. I have tried PVC but it gives my a yellow pee color. So I'm out of great ideas.

Thanks in advance,
Jake

One of the writeright versions is perfect for this. It has a pebbly texture and can be bought at B&M stores.

I'm guessing he wants one for lantern use, not just window diffuser.

I've used a perscription pill bottle and sanded the exterior, it works pretty well if you can find one that fits. If you want to tailstand the light on table make a cone with aluminum foil and drop it inside to reflect all upward light to side ways.

OK what is the head diameter of the light in question? I can find something, I'm sure of it.

If you don't mind having a very fragile diffuser, I've found that wax paper works really well. Just make a cone out of it like back in first grade, get a small rubber band or something, and bam, nice diffuse light. Or if you're in a hurry, just use your finger as a mold.

Film canisters can be cut to the diameter you need. Not the prettiest, but it works...

I have an old white plastic aspirin bottle that works well for using my flashlight like a lantern, similar to the film cannister above.

For a great cheap diffuser I 2nd the scotch tape but I really love Glad Press N Seal.

I just made one out of a Walmart ibuprofen white plastic bottle. Carefully cut the neck off to the desired size and slide it on - perfect for SF E series lights or similar.

Just in time for my camping trip
