Homemade flashlight resistance question

Hi, i am building a flashlight based on the 2D electrolumens blaster.I made 2 custom 4xAA battery holders to acheve total 4,8V. I measure some resistance on these holders due to long paths. Is this going to have as a result in some energy to be lost? Or I am just going to have less power on the led but better runtimes?Can somebody help me?

Some of both. You can add a better electrical path to reduce resistance. Maybe add in some desoldering braid.
