Homemade/Modified lights -or- Factory Brand????

Which do you lean more to in terms of buying lights?

Homemade and Modified lights (CPF's own in house talent?)

or

Money-makers like Mags, Surefire's, Streamlight?


For me it's just about even.

If I'm looking for new technologies. I go for homemade/modified. We just have a great talent pool of innovators, who will go to the edge to bring us these great lights. More power to you /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif

Whatever does the job. If a "good enough" light is available off the shelf, I buy it. If nobody sells what I need, I build it.

The very best LED stuff I have came from modders. Nothing else comes close!

Modding my own incandescents is the key to BRIGHT! light!
