I'm thinking a bump to 6 volts might make this a real screamer!

I'm thinking it might just make it scream and die?

There's at least a chance the engineers at Pelican tried it......

They don't even want you to use 3 rechargable cells with the M8/Sabrelight LED. I can't imagine that 4 alkalines will do anything but destroy the circuitry.

No one's tried it yet?

I understand the implications, might still be worth it.

I'm happy to hold your coat while you try it on yours, Bill. Just in case something happens, you might want to put your keys on the table first.......

I have to agree with Doug, you stand a good chance of frying something. If you want to hot rod it, try swapping in a 5 watt instead of the stock emitter and THEN mess with the battery supply and electronics.

It would be neat to see the biggest, baddest "recoil" type light.

I'm actually considering the swap anyway, but it will be a little tough because of the way the emitter is mounted.

I'm trying to figure out how to make it if I fry the emitter trying to overdrive it.
