Household power outage lights (Plug-in)

A friend of mine just told me that he wants to buy a handful of some sort of plug-in combo flashlight/power outage backup lights, probably rechargeable as packaged. I did a little searching here, but did not find a thread. I'd be very grateful if anyone can point one out or has some recommendations for this kind of light.

I'd like to see something with these features that have a motion-sensor option. Thats nice when the light switches don't work and you forgot where you put your flashlight or your hands are full. I deploy some strictly-battery lights to give me enough light to find the clip-on or floor lamps without tripping on the extension cords.
