Just wanted to share a quick story of how my LOD CE saved my wits and many happy memories. I was in Florida last week going to all the Disney parks. After getting up from one of the rides, I realized I no longer had our camera in my pocket. It was our 2nd to last day there. Aghhhhhh! All the pictures from the entire trip were on that SD Card. I swear my wife was going to kill me.
We retraced our last steps: Bathroom, exact path to the bathroom, along walkways, and the ride itself. I checked if there was a Lost & Found, but at such a large place there is no central place during the day. I could submit a claim and hope it shows up. By this time I was in full panic mode. Of course, the ride we were on was in a moving platform with 6 separate auditoriums that come around once per hour. So after the end of each performance, my family would jump into the auditorium to look around where we were sitting to see if the camera was still there. The operators were probably wondering what the heck we were doing. After looking through a few of the empty auditoriums, I was giving up hope of ever finding it:mecry:. On the last one, they asked all riders to exit the auditorium since it was about to move. They were on the other side and did not see me. All the lights went out and it was pitch dark. I pulled out my LOD CE and kept on looking around. Lo and Behold, the camera was stuck in the side of the auditorium folding chair. Let me tell you that I was one happy camper at this point:twothumbs.
I figure there is something to this Karma thing as I had returned a wallet to the lost and found earlier in the week. And that is how a little flashlight saved some precious memories.
