Wondering if the M6 is as bright or brighter than Vector (or equivalent) 1 or 2 million candlepower spotlights?

Nope not close, but it is still the King of Flashlight. I put the Vectors in the spotlight category not Flashlight.

How you define "brighter"? More overall light, or more throw?

Regardless, I believe those spotlights produce both more light overall and more throw. I have a Vector and a Dominator 10X (basically the rechargable version of the M6) and I believe the Vector beats it in output and throw, but it is much heavier and larger.

Consider the M6's physical specs:

Length 7 5/8"
Bezel dia 2.5"
Body dia 1 5/8" (average)
Weight (w. bat) 15.9oz
Lumens 250/500

Then, with HOLA and fresh batteries installed pick it up and shine it at almost anything. Nothing in your perceptual experience willl have prepared you for the disparity between the relatively small size and light weight of the M6 and the sheer amount of perfect spotlight-type light issuing from it.

Of course it can't compete with 1,000,000 cp searchlights that are much bigger and heavier, but within its configuration it is unique and has been since it first came out.

I haven't yet seen JS's souped up Tigerlights. Perhaps they will outshine the M6, but for a manufactured light the M6 is still the reigning champ.

The M6 spots a decent flood and it is to me a very powerful light. The vector is big and bulky IMHO. One thing to take note...never shine your M6 at a piece of paper you are trying to read...you see nothing!!

Vector 1 or especially 2m CP spotlights beat the heck out of the M6, but at 4 or 5x the weight, and vastly more bulky and awkward. M6 weighs in at one pound, and fits in a small pack nicely. Most people will only carry a Vector or similar in their vehicle.

Could someone give me a link to the company who makes this Vector?

Thanks!
