I just got a L4 (my first LED /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif) and I am wondering how everyone carry it around, I tried using the pocket clip, but kind of worry that my new $120 toy will fall out (which is what happened to my cell phone, doh!). Then I put it in my pocket, and the Type III HA is so hard and rough that seems like pretty soon I am going to have a hole in the pocket...so how do you guys carry your lights around? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif

M3 and my L4 in a Ripoffs CO-60 pouch. M3 fits perfect, L4 fits nice bezel-down. Check CPF dealers for one if you want to pack more than 1 light.

Also ARC-LSH on lanyard around neck.

I usually have an Infinity Ultra in my pocket. Now thinking hard whether if I should switch to an Arc LSL or not.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have this zippered pouch thingie on the floorboard of my scooter or on the center plateau of my electric wheelchair. In both situations, this places the pouch below and between my knees, so I can quickly access it if necessary. I've kept flashlights in it, butt-end sticking straight up so I can grab them quickly when needed.

If the light I'm carrying at the time has a sturdy clip, and isn't too heavy (a SureFire C2 with turbohead is about the maximum here), I clip it to the cell phone holder on the side of my wheelchair. It stays put until I need it, and I can quickly deploy it when necessary.

I made this nice cordura padded belt with hang down pockets strapped around left leg. Bad explanation of it, but all things with their own belt loop " aka m6, leatherman, swiss army knife, modded led minimag style, and others go around waist for easy access". Pockets fit work radio, pen, paper, and others. Works great for someone on their feet all day. Gonna make one for winter when I'm sitting down all night!

Thanks for the input! Does anyone has any bad experience with the pocket clip on the E2/L4? I am thinking about about clipping it to my belt and carry it that way....just hope it won't come off... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif

the clip can break off if you carry it on your belt but I carryed mine in my pocket just fine now I carry my ARC-LS1rev.2 in my pocket and an ARC-AAA on a neck lanyard

I have found the Gerber Knife sheaths to fit quite a few SF lights. These come in three sizes. The LG fits the L4 without being a snug fit& costs around $6.00. I've found them on-line and also at Sports Chalet on the racks at the knife case. The downside of using these for the L4 is that the Gerber logo is quite bold and you appear to be packing edge. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I carry my L4 or E1e/Kl1, or my E2e clipped inside my left front pocket when wearing regular jeans. I already have a Leatherman Wave on my belt and a large flat grind Sebenza clipped in my right front pocket. Most of the time though I wear carpenter jeans and whichever light I'm carrying goes in the left leg pocket and my cell phone in the right leg pocket. Much more comfortable wearing the carpenter jeans. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks Quickbeam, I was just about to say I found the mini mag holster (I lost my mini mag long ago, and have the holster gethering dust around) works perfectly, just a little too long, like 1/2 inch longer than the light if you are that picky /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif, but I works fits great, even with the pocket clip on. Should thank maglite for designing such a nice holster for surefire /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

RazorMaxx,
So if you clip the L4 to your pocket, the bezel will be sticking outside the pocket, right?

I just stick my X5t in my pocket and occasionally my CMG Ultra-G.

The Arc LSL that is on its way to me will replace the X5 and will be carried in the same fashion: stuck in my pocket.

Yes, that's correct. The bezel sticks out the top but I wear loose fitting t-shirts so it is not seen. So far I have had no problems at all. Gives very easy and quick access and easy to return to my pocket too.

L4, L1, or A2 depending on need, carried in this:

The A2 and L4 fit in there without modification?

I have this holster and the L4 fits great with no mod. The best thing about this holster is that it is super light weight. The holster is only made of fabric, it has a velcro flap to attach to your belt. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Oh, and I EDC either my Grey Kit or Arc AAA on my keychain (depends on what I am wearing and doing).

E2E clipped to the left pocket away from work.
At work, it rides in one of those SpecOps "super sheaths" that's made like a double mag pouch, along with a Leatherman ST200.

I bought a nylon holster for a small pocket knife, or something, for my LSH and love it. I got it from a knife dealer at an outdoor show for 50 cents and since then have found ones that may work for other lights. Take the light with you so you can try it out /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I carry my ARC LS w/twisty 123 battery pack in a black nylon holster made for Zippo lighters. 2 bucks from Smokey Mountain Knifeworks. Works great, holds its shape when empty so it's easy to re-holster one handed. I have two, one has its belt loop sewn to better fit thin belts w/ suits or dress slacks. Another was left as is for wider belts, fanny pack straps, etc. Yes, I wear it everyday and everywhere, even on my wedding day this past June.

Surefire 6P in the V21 holster.
