How does the Tiablo ACE compare to Dereelight-DBS V3

I searched and couldn't find much on the Tiablo ACE. I did see posts on the Tiablo A10.

From beamshots I've seen, the A10 seems a little too focused (too small a spot at distance) for me. I'm not really interested in light that is so tight beamed that I could see a tricycle in a yard a block away but couldn't see anything else around it. The ACE seems to have a better looking and more illuminating (wider) spot and also is a thrower.

I'd be interested to hear comments and comparisons between the ACE and the Dereelight DBS V3 (I guess that replaces the V2) from users who actually have both of these lights.

My Fenix T1 is serving me well and throws quite well (even though in this forum it doesn't seem to be considered a thrower but it is to me). I can see quite clearly all the way down my block with it so I consider that a thrower. It still has the best looking beam I've ever seen (though I have not seen these other lights I mentioned here in real life). If either the ACE or DBS V3 is really that much of a further thrower than the T1, I may give one of them a go. Though it seems the DBS is pretty damn hard to get in the US. I will be using CR123a's and like the idea that both can hold 4 of them.

DBS is extremely easy to get in the US, straight from there website, just takes a while to receive it, or FlashCrazy on the CPFMP, Is a US dealer of dereelight and sells for the exact same price including shipping, although you'll receive it within 5 days in the US most likely.

Ok, I didn't know that. I saw the Dereelight list of dealers and didn't see one in the US. Didn't know they sold directly or about Flashcrazy selling them. I will get more info on that.

Now the question remains which one is going to be better suited to me for what I want in a thrower. Wish I had both in my hands to test them.

I saw those LUX readings but to tell the truth, readings don't give me anything I can use. Readings don't tell how good you can see down the street, how far you can see, how much you can see, how well the beam looks, etc. Whenever I see readings I just skip them and look for real world experiences and comments that can give me information I'm looking for that helps me decide how useful a light is going to be for what I want it for.

Well then I guess you'll have to do what most of us do......

buy one of each and come back and argue why your favorite is the best. :grin2:

The A10 on the other hand will have a tighter spot and it will beat the DBS to a pulp and far as brightness and throw go.

In actual use the A10 is probably only slightly brighter than the DBS. It's not going to be like comparing a DBS to a Polarion. Be cool if one makes it to PF12.
