I like the dominator very much. Before holding and operating one I was not very enthusiastic about its shape and concept. When I bought my first one I found that it was a pleasure to operate in addition to being a brightness champ. It is the brightest flashlight in overall output (and outthrows most other lights). It is an inch longer than a tigerlight but almost 3 ounces lighter.

The dual stage switch is quite satisfying. The side spill has a non-circular shape (due to the dual bezel). The low output lamp hotspot is elliptical but the hight output hotspot is round (despite the less pronounced LOLA hotspot). The high output setting engages both LOLA and HOLA.

Personally I have very little need for a dominator (or any high output flashlight) but own several nontheless. The fit and finish is up to the usual Surefire standards. The charge cycle is quite fast and the battery does not heat up excessively.

If you can afford one I recommend it. It is worth the money.

Cheers.

The 10x has been my favorite rechargable for the last 18months or so. If you get one, I recommend the optional 110 lumen low bulb. Mine has been totally reliable, no bulb problems, and no battery/charging problems. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

This is the best rechargable made IMO. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Damn you! Damn you ALL!! Now I'm going to go order a Dominator! Crimony! I've gotta stop coming here! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohgeez.gif

The Prince came through for me bigtime when he got me my 10X. I must have paid about a million bucks for it and even now, it's worth every penny!

Thanks for all the information. I bit the bullet got one on order at Texas Tactical supply. Can't wait but will have to. How about the M6 do I need one of these monsters!

Absolutely, without a doubt. You need an M6 as a backup (or vice versa). It is a pleasure of a different sort to own and operate (read play with) one. Al hit it on the nose.

Cheers.

good luck finding a holster for it, hard to come by from what i've seen.

with sf's rechargable problems and fragile lamps i reccomend the tigerlight or streamlight. the polymer is not good for whackin people on the noggin either.

10X has not had any rechargeable problems.
People who have not dropped the 10X a few time do not give it enough credit for what it can handle.
