I have Surefire CR123 batteries in my Surefire X300 Weaponlight on my pistol. I don't use my weaponlight a lot, perhaps 1 or twice a month at the most and it's usually not for more then 10 minutes each time.
I've had these Surefire batteries for just over a year and they have definitely diminished in power. I just ordered 30 of these Titanium Innovations batteries which are considerably cheaper then the Surefires at only a $1 each:
